Chance to win a free £50 bet from Sky Bet for telling us your first Festival winner story

As part of Sky Bet’s First Race promotion for this week’s Cheltenham Festival, Sky Bet want to hear about racing fans first experiences at Cheltenham, specifically fans first ever winners at the festival.

The Dead Cert and Sky Bet are asking readers to explain in 50 words or less: the horse they backed, the odds and how it felt to win at Cheltenham for the first time (via their social media or The Dead Cert.com). The 5 best entries will win a £50 free bet.

All entrants must be aged 18 or over and in order to receive a prize must either hold a valid non-restricted Sky Bet account or successfully open an account fulfilling all Sky Bet account requirements (including residence and verification requirements). The competition is not open to employees of Sky Bet, family members of such employees or anyone professionally associated with the competition. Entries are made by posting a description of the entrant’s first Cheltenham Festival winner in no more than 50 words by 7pm 11th March 2015 (closing date).

Any entries received by Sky Bet after the Closing Date will not be accepted. Only one entry per person will be accepted. Entrants may not enter more than once by using multiple postings, identities or other methods. Any entrant who does so, or uses any device or system to circumvent this condition may be disqualified and their entries disqualified. No correspondence will be entered into.
Entrants undertake that their entry is not in breach of any third party intellectual property rights and will not contain anything which is defamatory, indecent, harassing or threatening and that they will indemnify Sky Bet for any loss, damage or liability arising should this turn out not to be true. If relevant, Sky Bet reserves the right, but not the obligation (and without limiting entrants’ warranty and indemnity as set out above) to screen, filter and/or monitor information provided by the entrant and to edit, refuse to distribute or remove the same. Any late, damaged, corrupted or incomplete entries will be automatically disqualified. No responsibility is accepted for damaged or corrupted entries. Proof of sending or submission is not proof of receipt. Entrants must reside in the UK.

There are five prizes in total. Sky Bet will at their sole discretion select their favourite First Winner description on 11 March 2015 from all eligible entries. Sky Bet’s decision shall be final and conclusive.

Each prize consists of:
£50 non-withdrawable free bet to be used with Sky Bet. To receive the prize the winner will be required to open a Sky Bet account (if not already registered). All Sky Bet account terms and conditions shall apply.

Sky Bet reserves the right to change the prize. All elements of the prize are non-transferable and there are no cash or other alternatives in exchange for the prize. The winner will be notified by email on 12 March 2015. If a winner does not respond to Sky Bet within 14 days of first being contacted they shall forfeit their right to receive the prize and Sky Bet shall select a different winner. The winner may be required to participate in publicity at no cost to Sky Bet and entry to this competition confirms consent to publicise their name and country of residence. Under no circumstances shall Sky Bet be liable for direct, indirect or incidental damages resulting from the competition.

Sky Bet reserves the right to amend, extend or terminate the competition and the Closing Date if it deems it appropriate and reserves the right to amend these rules at any time.
