The classy filly Ribbons to make Easter Saturday a success for trainer James Fanshawe at Kempton
The Glorious Goodwood winner Ribbons will look to take the listed Snowdrop Fillies Stakes (2.55) at Kempton this afternoon. Partnered by Hayley Turner the four-year-old filly will look to pick up where she left off last season with the form that saw her claim three races. Her main rival will be the highly regarded French 1000 Guineas fourth Zurigha from the Hannon stable, who is likely to start a short priced favourite.
At Haydock, Heath Hunter looks certain to figure in the finish of the valuable Handicap Hurdle (2.40) with Orsippus if returning to form on his favoured conditions being the main danger.
Crockford’s Dead Cert – Ribbons (Kempton 2.55)
This impressive Glorious Goodwood winner can make the step up in grade to listed class. Having won her debut on this surface the conditions will be in her favour along with the valuable partnership she has formed with her rider Hayley Turner. Expect the filly to win and progress to better things.
Crockford’s Whisper – Our Mick e/w (Haydock 2.05)
Back to somewhere near the form of old on his last start, Our Mick looks weighted for success. With Richard Johnson booked expect this front-running whisper to run well at each way odds.
Archer’s Selection – Fear Or Favour (Bath 6.00)
Archer would have noticed this horse’s promise at two and would bank on further improvement at three. The able horseman would have predicted a win today.
