Kingman is set to reign in France and be crowned European Champion in Jacques Le Marois weather permitting
John Gosden’s star miler will take up his entry in the Group One Jacques Le Marois as long as the ground is not very very soft according to connections. The brilliant three-year-old looks certain to confirm his status as Europe’s top miler in what looks to be a weaker than usual renewal of France’s top eight furlong contest.
Kingman can handle soft conditions but his trainer will be cautious not risk him on heavy ground, and with that in mind will make a precautionary inspection before declaring him as taking part.
The soft ground loving Olympic Glory for the Hannon team will be Kingman’s main opposition, but given all known form he should not trouble the rising super-star. Kingman has already vanquished another of the Hannon hopefuls Toronado and he will do so again today unless stopped by the conditions.
