Trainer Luca Cumani’s  Epsom Oaks third Volume has the form to take the Irish Oaks at the Curragh

The Newmarket trainer Cumani has strong chances of a classic victory with his useful filly Volume in the Irish Oaks this afternoon. Third at Epsom, Volume should be better suited by the course at the Curragh and looks to have the form to beat her rivals. The second in the Oaks Tarfasha re-opposes today and has to be the main danger.

Aidan O’Brien sends a handful of horses to the race with Tapestry being favoured by his son Joseph. O’Brien’s ride will have to regain her two-year-old form to figure. The improving Lustrous may also make the frame after an encouraging run at Royal ascot behind another of O’Brien’s runners Bracelet.
