As the gales batter the British Isles Hurricane Fly will blow away his rivals in another Grade One success at Leopardstown in the Irish Champion Hurdle
Record breaking Hurricane Fly will face the same rivals as he defeated in his last run at Leopardstown and looks certain to add another Grade One success to his tally. Trainer Willie Mullins has made strong claims this season that his champion has more improvement in him but over the last few days there have been some scares over a bruised foot. With the ten-year-old apparently back to rude health his path to victory seems set.
Our Connor and Jezki may both improve from their last clash with Hurricane Fly, but it would have to be dramatic for either of them to stop the favourite from gaining a fourth Irish Champion Hurdle.
Another facile win at Leopardstown will see his price cut for the Champion Hurdle in March. Punters should back him now to get the 100/30 value from BetVictor or Bet 365 for the Cheltenham Festival feature.
