Lady Cecil’s Hot Snap races this afternoon at The Curragh in the Group Two Blandford Stakes

Tom Queally will partner the Nell Gwyn Stakes winner when she races in the Group Two contest this today. Disappointing in the 1000 Guineas,  she returned to somewhere near her best form when finishing well in the Nassau Stakes at Glorious Goodwood last month.

The highly regarded favourite  Alive Alive Oh stands in her way of Irish success in the one mile two furlong race for fillies and mares. Alive Alive Oh has won easily twice this season and is the strongest of the home trained hopefuls. Punters would be foolish to overlook the talented but hard to follow Princess Highway. If the Weld horse is anywhere near her best and the rains come she will be a massive danger to the Cecil filly and the favourite.

Earlier in the afternoon the once Classic hopeful Cristoforo Colombo will look to get back to winning ways in Group Three Renaissance Stakes (2.25) where Maarek and Cape Of Approval may stop him.
