Charlie Hills will take on a useful O’Brien team with his filly Kiyoshi in the Group One Moyglare Stakes
Charlie Hills will send out his impressive Royal Ascot winner Kiyoshi to face a strong team of O’Brien fillies in the seven-furlong Group One contest. Kiyoshi raced away from her field at the Royal meeting with the useful Sandiva and Joyeuse finishing behind her that day. Sandiva has since gone on to frank that form with an equally eye-catching victory at Deauville last month.
The Hills filly may be given her strongest test by the probable race favourite Tapestry. Highly regarded by the Ballydoyle, Tapestry is unbeaten in her two starts and comes to the race off the back of a course victory where her stablemate and fellow runner Perhaps was second. The third O’Brien runner in the race today is Wonderfully, who has two wins to her name with her last success coming in the Silver Flash Stakes at Leopardstown. At Leopardstown she was also chased home by O’Brien’s Perhaps.
Punters should not overlook the recent French run of Rizeena, Clive Brittian’s ran on strongly to take third behind the mighty US raider No Nay Never. The yard think a lot of his filly and it would not be a surprise if she figured again in the finish this afternoon. However, if the Hills filly reproduces anything close to her Ascot form she will be hard to beat.
