Aidan O’Brien’s Battle Of Marengo will  do battle with a useful pair of Andre Fabre’s in the Grand Prix De Paris

The Epsom Derby fourth Battle Of Marengo will look to move on from the disappointing second at Royal Ascot when he runs in the Grand Prix De Paris this evening. The O’Brien colt will have to get the better of two very useful Andre Fabre horses – Ocovango and Flintshire. Ocovango finished just behind Battle Of Marengo at Epsom and is favoured  by many to reverse the placings today. Unbeaten before running in the Epsom Classic Fabre’s horse has at least place claims. The impressive Group Three winner Flintshire may pose an even stronger danger to the O’Brien runner. The Fabre colt looked progressive and may have more improvement in him than the exposed Irish horse. Whatever the result punters are guaranteed a battling performance from the Ballydoyle horse.

Ocovango can prove a strong threat
