Flotilla will float away from her rivals in the Prix De Diane at Chantilly adding a second French Classic to her haul
Winner of the French 1000 Guineas Flotilla has the ability to see off her rivals in the second fillies classic at Chantilly. The filly that finished second to her at Longchamp will be the main danger again today – Esoterique. Flotilla showed impressive finishing speed at Longchamp and should not find the additional distance of the Prix De Diane (French Oaks) a problem for her. Silasol must also not be discounted as she showed the stamina and speed to grab victory in the Group One Prix Saint-Alary at Longchamp last time out. The only concern for punters is that on Flotilla’s visits to Chantilly she has been disappointing.
Having won the Breeders Cup Juvenile Fillies Turf at Santa Anita and the French 1000 Guineas, a win at Chantilly will be certain to put her in as the leading three year old filly. Crockford believes that the 9/4 available about Flotilla looks to be outstanding value.
