Ballydoyle’s Ruler Of The World  set to take the world’s richest racing prize in the Dubai World Cup as the British Flat season starts with the Lincoln cavalry charge

Followers of the flat with have a double delight this afternoon with the World Cup at Dubai and the traditional start of the season  at Doncaster. In what is an amazing card at Meydan the feature race is supported by seven contests packed with the stars of the sport. Ballydoyle will look to rule the world with their Derby winning star and a cast of brilliant equine talent.

The Lincoln at Doncaster is as competitive as ever and could fall the way of last year’s winner Levitate or even to last year’s Irish equivalent victor Sweet LightningJack Dexter will look to continue his unbeaten record on soft ground at the course when he runs in the Cammidge Trophy.

Crockford’s Dead Cert – Shea Shea (Al Quoz Sprint – Meydan 3.03)

Arguably one of the best turf sprinters in the World. He looked in fine form last time out and has the measure of his rivals in a contest that will suit him perfectly. There will be good prices available about this certainty.

Crockford’s Whisper – Ruler Of The World (World Cup – Meydan 6.05)

The Derby winner has drifted to very backable prices over the last few days. At around 7/1 the opportunity that this provides cannot be missed by punters. If he retains his talent at four he is certain to make the frame.

Archer’s Selection – War Spirit (Kempton 4.05)

Archer would have remembered how highly regarded War Spirit was before his debut run at Glorious Goodwood last season. Knowing what the connections thought of the horse, Archer would be up to take this ride.
