Kentucky Derby winner Animal Kingdom will reign in the world’s richest race the Dubai World Cup 2013
The American trained Animal Kingdom heads a world class field in the Dubai World Cup 2013. Second to Wise Dan in the Breeders Cup, Motion’s horse looks poised to show his class against the local champions Hunter’s Light and African Story. Unlikely to have it all his own way he will also face strong opposition from fellow Americans, Royal Delta and Dullahan. The French challenger Meandre is not without each way chances too.
The World Cup is the feature at Meydan but is by no means the only highlight with five Group One races supporting the card. With a truly international line up onlookers will be treated to some of the best in the world with the Japanese super filly Gentildonna taking her place in (5.20) and the South African three-year old Soft Falling Rain looking to follow up on his two UAE wins in the (1.10).
The UK ,Ireland and French are well represented too. Richard Hannon and Richard Hughes team up with the progressive Law Enforcement in the UAE Derby (2.25), Imperial Monarch (1.45) and Gordon Lord Byron (3.45) being great Irish chances in their respective races and the French having 2000 Guineas second French Fifteen in the (4.40)
