Crockford’s whisper Hunt Ball proved a popular winner in the last race on the first day of the Festival. Darlan (Crockford’s Dead Cert) was slightly outpaced in the first but was a respectable second behind Cinders and Ashes at 7/1 after drifting all day on the exchanges.
